Broad Beans 2

By Angie, Apr 3 2013 09:00AM

The Aquadulce Claudia broad beans sown a few weeks ago are now 4-5 inches high and ready to start being hardened off in the coldframe ready to sow outside, once the soil has warmed up under a cloche.

So, the cloche has been moved to an area on the legume bed on plot 39 ready to warm the soil up.

I will then sow some more seed about three weeks after these plants go in, to hopefully stagger the crop. A final sowing will follow some four weeks after this sowing to continue the harvest.

Any favourite broad bean recipes out there? I will be posting some up soon!
